python-dolfin software package provides Python interface for DOLFIN, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-dolfin
python-dolfin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-dolfin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-dolfin *
You will get with python-dolfin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
